Vagus Nerve Stimulation Becomes More Effective Over Time in Controlling Epileptic Seizures
— Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) effectively reduces seizure frequency in some patients with drug-resistant epilepsy, but VNS treatment may have to be applied for several years before any effect can be seen, researchers said here on June 29 at the 9th European Congress on Epileptology (ECE).

Several people I know have the VNS, myself included. We have talked about our experiences with it. We all have had side effects from it. In the manual there are 3 pages devoted to listing the side effects. I had seizure improvement almost immediately after activation. I have had mine since 1996. I am on my third one. Another benefit of it I stummbled on by actident is it helps to ekimate headaches.
