I have had seizures since I was 9, and it was really random but it started off with me having what is called "monoclinic jerks" where my right arm randoms jerks and its not painful but It has a weird feeling I cant describe, I went to the doctor after my first seizure and they said it was stress related and put me on 'Lamictal' which helps a lot and I don't have seizures as long as I take my medicine but I cant take anything with it (Nyquil, sleeping pills etc.) but nothing helps my jerks and I have them pretty much everyday and usually when im caught off guard or hear a random loud noise or sometimes when im just sitting doing nothing it happens, I can feel it coming and after it happens my arm feels kind of dead and then comes back to feeling. I don't know why this happens or what causes it. so if anyone knows what im talking about or knows anything about it, please comment or message me. im now 20 years old and it still happens.

Hello, those jerks you're getting ate called tremors, I get th too. In fact I got them for three yeard up until I was diagnosed with epilspy. They happen because there is an electrical storm inside your brain which causes a misfire to attach to another neuron or synapse. I handle my tremors, my simple partial seizures, my focal seizures and my grand mals by taking 1500mh per day of Keppra and 60mg per day of carbitrol. I also am using charlottes webb CBD oil in a spray which is 500mg and an oil dropper which is 5,000mg to control and mange my seizures. Today makes the 24 day since I haven't had a seizure, which is so awesome!. I'm going to have my fifth brain surgery to cure myself of my epilepsy; as my epilepsy is due to the scars I have on my brain and they just have to remove them. Your jerks are temors, I've had those for four years. They're horrible I know. Ask your doctor for Keppra @ 1500mg and carbitrol XR @600mg- that'll make them ALL go away forever, I promise because it has been controlling mine very well!.

Myoclonic twitches is a brief twitching of involuntary group of muscles or muscle. These muscle twitches describe a sign and generally is not a diagnosis of a disease. It is sudden muscle contractions.

I have this too , have you gotten a EEG done? It took a long time for a dokter to diagnose me, I had a grand maul, they finally took more test and found out my random jerks was not just stress or anxiety but epilepsy. Always get a second opinion, dokters can be wrong.

My seizures are due to a brain tumor. i suggest you have an EEG done, if you haven't had one yet. durung a seizure attack, i become confused, not knowing where i am at, during my seizure, but i am alert , where i can hear someone talking to me. after i snapped out of my trans , i become very hungry.
