Anyone out there who ended up with epilepsy due to a brain tumor? Anyone out there with vertigo and seizures? I don't know anyone with epilepsy but I would like to. Right now I take Lamictal XR 400mg per day, and it worked great at first, dose has been increased so many times. Can't go to a higher dose, getting ready to start another med to go with it. Yuk, I hate starting a new med. Sometimes is goes well, but when it doesn't it can be bad. Not sure what the good doctor is going to put me on, but I need to do it soon.

Hello, I saw your reply to my post from November. You are the first person to reply, I wasn't sure if anyone was out there. I know its hard to talk about such personal info but, if you are comfortable I would like to know more about you. Not sure if you also had a brain tumor but if so do you feel like you replay the events that took place regarding your tumor in your head over and over again. My memory is not good, I feel like I forgot about half of my life. I wish that I could forget those memories, I was so alone and afraid. I think that its getting in the way of coming to terms with my epilepsy. As far as the meds go, I started Keppra along with the Lamictal XR and it didn't go well at all. I tried to stay with it in hopes that I would adjust to the new meds. After two weeks I was angry all the time, actually hostile and a very negative outlook on life. Came off the med quickly, I had similar reactions when on topamax. I would love to hear back from you. I wish you a happy and seizure free day.

No I didn't have a brain tumor. I have grand mal seizures. When I have a grand mal seizure my is like a etstecth. I don't remember one thing that has happened before the seizure. I'm not even aware was is going on during the seizure. But eventually the things I can't or people I can't remember come back to me.
